| Another important aspect of our work is providing
individual advice to scientists from either country
on the possibilites of Sino-German cooperation and
how to seek suitable partners.
The Sino-German Center occupies a building on
the grounds of the NSFC in Beijing. Its facilities
include several seminar rooms for 8-40 participants
as well as a large lecture hall that will seat
up to 250 people and is equipped for simultaneous
interpretation. Besides providing an excellent
venue for the Center¨s Symposia, these facilities
can also be used for other meetings relating to
Sino-German cooperation in research.
The Center also has 12 guest rooms to accommodate
visiting scientists working in Sino-German projects.
The Sino-German Center is administered by a Joint
Commission consisting of four representatives
of the NSFC and the DFG, respectively. The Commission
is co-chaired by a Vice President of the DFG and
a Vice President of the NSFC. The Center is managed
by a directorate drawn from NSFC and DFG staff.
